Midnight snacks. Literally at midnight.

ABC's Good Morning America, marking its 40th anniversary with 40 hours of continuous programming, had the surly Scotsman do a half-hour. (Clips were shown on the ABC morning show, but it was streamed in real time at GoodMorningAmerica.com.)

Ramsay and Wilson led the three kids — who go only by their first names Kaitlyn, Derek, and Jesse, since they're juveniles — through the popping and seasoning of popcorn, the making of grilled cheese, and the creation of an omelet (complete with truffle) at  the Old City restaurant.

The setup was perfect for a camera crew; most tables were moved out and the turn-out kitchen in the dining room was an easy shot.

The appearance marked a homecoming for Wilson, who attended West Chester University and Temple University and is now executive chef of the U.S. division of Gordon Ramsay Group. She and Ramsay are finishing their work today on a Hotel Hell episode at the Brick Hotel in Newtown, Bucks County. (Interesting that his shows are on Fox.)

Ramsay was his usual charming (off-camera) self, posing for photos after the show wrapped.
