GreenStreet Coffee gets a shop
The roaster is up at 1101 Spruce St.
Coffee roasters need to market themselves, and what better way than to set up a coffeeshop.
Counter Culture has a training center in Southwest Center City. In Fishtown, you have ReAnimator working on its shop at 1523 E. Susquehanna Ave. and you also have La Colombe working on not only a new cafe and cupping room but its offices and a rum distillery (!) on Frankford Avenue.
Let's welcome GreenStreet Coffee Roasters to the fray.
Brothers Tom and Chris Molieri, who do their work in Point Breeze, just rolled out their first retail shop at 1101 Spruce St., taking over that tight little corner space previously occupied by such java joints as Spruce Street Espresso, Stellar and Mochima Cafe.
Metal/wood craftsman Andrew Jevremovic did the interior.
They're doing pour-overs and drips (mostly single-origins), and selling beans.
