Il Portico gives way to Tiramisu

It's a revival of a South Street-area Italian restaurant.

Anyone else notice that Il Portico - the fancy-schmancy Italian restaurant on Walnut Street for 16 years - has given way to Tiramisu?
Both, you'll note, are owned by Alberto DelBello.
Tiramisu is a new incarnation of DelBello's first Philly restaurant, which opened in 1991 on Fifth Street a few steps north of South Street with dishes based on recipes used by Italian Jews of the 18th century who lived along the Tiber River in the Roman ghetto known as Il Portico Ottavia. Tiramisu faded into the woodwork a few years ago and closed.
At 1519 Walnut St., Delbello has revived Tiramisu's menu, from the signature artichokes down to the herbed matzo served in the bread basket.
DelBello also owns Il Tartufo in Manayunk. His brother runs a BYOB version of Tiramisu in Berwyn.
