Latin Flavor closes after 4 months

Latin Flavor, the Caribbean cafeteria-style spot that opened in November at 627 South St., won raves among cognoscenti for its pressed sandwiches, its pork and its papas rellenas.

But the cognoscenti alone couldn't keep it afloat. It's closed, following previous occupants in the last decade including Baklava Cafe, Gaja Gaja, Wasabi House, and South Caffe.

A reporter left a message with an owner seeking comment.

A listing offers it for $3,500 a month.
