Mad Mex opens on Main Line
It's the chain's largest location in the Philadelphia area.
Mad Mex - the Pittsburgh-based casual Mexi-Cali chain - has opened its third Philadelphia-area location, carving out space beneath the DSW shoe store (where Borders was) in Wynnewood Shopping Center (50 E. Wynnewood Rd., Wynnewood, 484-417-6932).
Wynnewood follows locations in University City (opened in 1997) and Willow Grove (2011).
Wynnewood is the largest Mad Mex in the area, as it seats 240 in the dining room and 27 at the bar. There's also private dining for up to 50 and space for 26 on the outdoor patio.
Menu is here. Two dozen beers are on tap; count on about 40 different tequilas.
Starting in October, Mad Mex will host two benefit dinners per month with 100 percent of proceeds sent directly to beneficiaries.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with the kitchen open till 1 a.m.
