Metropolitan Bakery shutting Chestnut Hill store
The 15-year run will end Friday.
Metropolitan Bakery says its Chestnut Hill retail shop will close after business Friday, Jan. 10 after a 15-year run.
A rep did not elaborate on the reason for the closing, which comes at the end of its lease.
She said the bakery still will have a presence in 19118 as it will set up a stand at the Chestnut Hill Farmer's Market, which operates Thursday to Saturday. That start date will be Jan. 23.
Metropolitan does not bake at the Chestnut Hill shop.
