Monarch: Dining by the pool in Northern Liberties

North Shore Beach Club, in the shadow of the Piazza at Schmidt's in Northern Liberties (1031 Germantown Ave,), is rebranding, now that Brian Nagele has moved on to open WAV in Atlantic City.

Things are starting off slowly, mainly because of the weather. The restaurant, lounge, and garden opened Thursday, April 28. The pool opens May 6.
He's brought in chef Tim Bennett, whose resume includes Gunners Run, with reasonably priced brunch and dinner menus with a Southern bent.
