Old City, you're getting a Honey's

Honey's Sit N Eat, the popular bruncherie, just inked a lease at 228 Vine St.

Fresh off their success at 21st and South Streets, Honey's Sit 'N Eat owners Jeb Woody and Ellen Mogell today signed a lease in Old City for a third location.

They're taking over what most recently was the Turkish spot Konak at 228 Vine St., next door to the Painted Bride Art Center.

This location - a mere seven blocks or so from their flagship at Fourth and Brown Streets in Northern Liberties - will have a liquor license. The front room will become the main dining room. Blum said the building's owner had sought a tenant that served breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, "a place like Honey's," so ...

Woody projects six to nine months on the demo and build-out, but concedes he's often wrong.

Woody, meanwhile, hopes to open Shifty's Taco in Brewerytown in early August.
