Dec. 15 marks the debut of PIG, a quick-service restaurant specializing in pork and its byproducts, at 712 W. Girard Ave., next to the flagship location of Tiffin just outside of Northern Liberties.

Running things at the 25-seater is chef Joseph Shilling, who's had a long run in town both in the restaurant education and catering world.

Here's the menu. Signature dessert is something called Pig Pen Slop (chocolate mousse with crushed cookie topping and salted caramel, $6).

Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
