Pay rent on time and get a pizza

Franco Borda of Francoluigi's, the Italian spot at 13th and Tasker Streets, has more than a dozen rental properties in the neighborhood.

As an incentive to keep his residential tenants paying their rent on time, Borda instituted a policy of a free pizza for everyone who pays on the first of the month or before.

It seems to work, he says, because 95 percent of his tenants show up religiously on or before the first to claim the pizza.
