Philly taquerias featured on TV's 'Taco Trip'

This one is being kept under the radar, but a few Philly taquerias will be put into the national spotlight this winter.

Chef Aarón Sánchez - whom you may know from Food Network's Chopped and Fox's Aaron Loves NY - is in town, shooting a Cooking Channel show called Taco Trip.

From what I can piece together, Sánchez's destinations include a mix of Anglo- and Mexican-run establishments, such as La Calaca Feliz in Fairmount, Sancho Pistola's in Fishtown/Northern Liberties, Tuk Tuk Real on South Street, and Union Taco, whose shops are in North Philly and Manayunk.

It's set to be shown in December or January, an insider tells me.
