Philly's Square 1682 is rated best hotel bar in the U.S.

Square 1682 in the Hotel Palomar (17th and Sansom Streets) was voted Best Hotel Bar in a USA Today 10Best.com poll.

The poll was a testament not only to Square 1682's bartenders, ambience, menus and clientele. It's also noteworthy that another Kimpton also got out the vote for the second-place property - Sable Kitchen & Bar at the Hotel Palomar in Chicago.

The poll was anything but all-inclusive or comprehensive; 10Best said the bars in the poll included only the 20 nominees compiled by Noah Rothbaum of Liquor.com.
