Pickled Heron chef to battle Bobby Flay

Daniela D’Ambrosio, chef/co-owner of Fishtown's The Pickled Heron, will appear 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 on an episode of Beat Bobby Flay on the Food Network. The episode is titled “New Kids on the Butcher Block.”

"Two former winners of Food Network Star, Jeff Mauro and Justin Warner, turn the tables on Bobby as they bring in two fantastic chefs to beat him. Bobby has his work cut out for him with sweet, but fiery, Chef Daniela D'Ambrosio and eager-to-prove-himself Chef Malcolm Mitchell fight for the right to show what they've got."

Show premise: Two competitors face off in a short timed challenge with a secret ingredient. The winner of that battle is given the chance to battle Bobby Flay by cooking a signature dish of  his or her choosing.
