Shake Shack opens a stand at Wells Fargo Center

Local favorite Nick's Roast Beef - the Northeast Philadelphia location - is also new to the arena's food mix.

In Shake Shack's first partnership of its kind in an NBA/NHL area, the burger/hot dog stand will set up inside the Wells Fargo Center for all events, beginning with the Flyers home opener Thursday, Oct. 20.

Shake Shack is on the main concourse behind Section 116, across from the Cure Insurance Club. It's a partnership with Aramark, the food and beverage provider at the arena.

Limited menu includes the ShackBurger, a single or double cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce; 'Shroom Burger, a fried portobello mushroom filled with melted Muenster and Cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce; Shack Stack, which includes both a cheeseburger and 'Shroom Burger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce; fries; hot dogs; milkshakes; and a "Concrete" dessert known as the Brotherly Love Crunch (vanilla custard with malt powder, Valrhona crunchies, and chocolate toffee).

The Manhattan-rooted Shake Shack has two locations in King of Prussia Mall, and shops in Center City and University City. A fifth regional location is due next year in Marlton.

The chain also has stands at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, and at Nationals Park in D.C.

New Wells Fargo offerings also include roast beef and roast pork sandwiches from the Nick's Roast Beef location on Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia, as well as Dunkin Donuts hot and ice coffee and Rita's water ice and custard.
