Media attention is important for any restaurant project, and The Fat Ham is no exception.

Now that Kevin Sbraga and his associates are back from their food tour through the South (and a quick trip to New York on behalf of Star Chefs International), he and his PR and marketing crew invited reporters and bloggers to a hard-hat preview Wednesday evening at the space, in The Left Bank at 3131 Walnut.

They showed off drawings and served a few cocktails and snacks - some of which may make it onto the menu when the restaurant opens this fall. Most likely, though, the corn soup and country ham fritters will be staples om catering menus.

Meanwhile, application has been made in Harrisburg for The Fat Ham's liquor license, last held by a corner bar in Hunting Park.
