Travinia Italian Kitchen next to the Fillmore in Fishtown closes

For reasons unknown, a liquor license was applied for but never secured - not exactly the best course of business for a wine bar.

Travinia Italian Kitchen, which opened in November 2015 down the row from the Fillmore in Fishtown, has closed.

The unit of a chain based in what founder Mark Craig called "that hotbed of Italian food, Greenville, South Carolina" never had much of a chance.

For reasons unknown, a liquor license was applied for but never secured - not exactly the best course of business for a wine bar.
