WIP pulls ad as too racy

The sports talk station kills the commercial for a company that sets up people who want to cheat on their spouses.

After two days, WIP (610) has stopped running ads for AshleyMadison.com, a dating site designed to help married people cheat on their spouses and offering a 90-day "Affair Guarantee Program."

A representative of the site reached out to the media this week with indignation, pointing out that the agency has three million members and that this is not illegal.

"The moment I became aware of the ads, I personally pulled them," said Marc Rayfield, who runs CBS's stations in Philadelphia. "They have been running in both N.Y. and L.A. There is absolutely no place for them in our town."

A Houston sports radio station similarly killed the ads this week.
