Watch Kevin Sbraga's show on Cooking Channel

The Top Chef shot a pilot for "Get Trucked," in which he revives sagging fortunes of food trucks.

Kevin Sbraga has been working on a TV show for a year now, and it's ready to hit the small screen.

But keep in mind that this is a pilot.

On Get Trucked - commence groaning - the Top Chef Season 7 winner plays troubleshooter on food trucks - "their menus, their service and their curb appeal," says Sbraga, who worked with Nancy Glass Productions.

He said the Travel Channel had asked for the show; when that didn't pan out, the show was also shopped to Spike and Cooking Channel's sibling, Food Network.

Though Sbraga is a fine-dining kind of guy, his past happens to be in food trucks. He worked on one with his father dispensing bakery items, hot dogs and sausages, and coffee.

The pilot - Aug. 15 at 9 p.m. - features a redo of the Foot Long Truck on Temple's campus.

Schedule is here.
