Have New Year's Eve dinner at Sabrina's Cafe, or sample a Cuban feast from a Havana chef at Cuba Libre.
We at philly.com/Food have two contests running.
We're giving away New Year's Eve dinner for two at Sabrina's Cafe, 1804 Callowhill St., to the best response to the questions, "What is your New Year's resolution this year? And more importantly, why are you making it?" Sabrina's is offering a $35 prix-fixe this year. Winner gets to choose a seating time. Act now. Deadline is the end of day Dec. 23. Info, including the menu, is here.
We're also giving away dinner for two on Jan. 11 to Cuba Libre's first "Pop-Up Paladar," in which chef Guillermo Pernot will host a Havana chef, Luis Alberto Alfonso Perez, for what's billed as the first U.S. appearance of a Cuban chef since the embargo. The Old City location has Chef Luis cooking dinner ($39 per person plus drinks) Jan. 11-13. This contest is easy - simply log in and submit your name, address and email address by Jan. 3. Info is here.
