The team posted this video of a celebratory locker room full of players and staff after a recent game, with the message "May this be the final image of our warriors":

The game after which the video was filmed was reportedly Chapecoense victory in the semifinals of the Copa Sudamericana, the second-biggest tournament for club soccer teams in South America. The team was flying to Medellin, Colombia for the first leg of the final when the plane crashed in a rural mountain area outside Medellin.

This was the scene in the team's locker room back at its home stadium, Arena Condá in the southern Brazilian city of Chapecó, after the news got out:

Brazilian sports news outlet Globo Esporte reported that one of the players killed, 22-year-old forward Thiaguinho, was soon to be a father for the first time. After the crash, his family released this tribute video with footage of a celebration when he learned the news just a week ago:
