MLS preseason live video: Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Minnesota United

Here's a chance to watch the Union's first opponent of the 2017 regular season play against one of Major League Soccer's new teams this year.

Vancouver and Minnesota are two of the four teams in this year's edition of the Portland Timbers' preseason tournament, along with the home team and Real Salt Lake.

Whitecaps players to watch include speedy winger Kekuta Manneh; 16-year-old midfield prospect Alphonso Davies; and the former Union outside back tandem of Jordan Harvey and Sheanon Williams.

Minnesota's roster includes Abu Danladi, this year's No. 1 draft pick; Costa Rican international Johan Venegas; and a pair of stalwarts from the team's NASL days in Christian Ramirez and Miguel Ibarra.

Kickoff at Providence Park is set for just after 8 p.m. Eastern.
