Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, April 13 to 17 Guest chefs from Lyon and Paris collaborate with local chefs to create special menus. Participating restaurants include: Le Bec-Fin, Bibou, Bistrot La Minette, Caribou Cafe, Fork, Lacroix, Parc, R2L, Rouge, Table 31, and Amuse at Le Meridien Philadelphia. Tex-Mex Meal: four-courses by pit-mistress Erin O'Shea of Percy Street Barbecue and chef Lucio Palazzo, featuring hominy and tripe soup, sweet corn soup with lime, chile and corn salad, wild boar, tomato and cornbread tamal with fava bean salad, smoked meat platter of beef cheek and tongue, young goat, and house-made chorizo sausage, $35, plus tax and gratuity. Food University: Cookbook author and host of PBS' Ciao Italia, Mary Ann Esposito demonstrates Family Circle recipes, talks about the importance of local produce, offers tips on spicing up meals and simple entertaining, with Marc Silverstein of the Food Network (The Best Of) and Discovery Channel (Make My Dinner). Seder Dinner: Four courses including gefilte fish, matzo-ball soup, braised brisket, poached wild sea bass with braised artichokes, roasted veal breast with spring herbs, braised lamb shank, $40 prix fixe, plus tax and gratuity. Passover Feliz: Four-course menu with Mexican flavors, featuring matzo-ball and red chile soup; grilled tomato and chicken; salmon tostada with orange habanero vinaigrette, chive and jicama; three-chile BBQ glazed brisket tacos with mango salsa; and key lime cheesecake. $30 prix fixe, plus tax and gratuity.
