Order time: Reasonable.
Price: $20 (2 for $20 special).
Review: The price may be right for this generous amount of food, but your cardiologist's bill will more than make up for it. The appetizer had real onion inside, but the breading overwhelmed it. As with many chain dishes, the chicken had too much (yet not enough) going on. The meat was tender and tasty but layered with Bolognese that tasted like chili and scampi sauce that tasted like nothing. The tasty mound of shoestring fried onions and peppers was much better than the onion rings, but the fried potatoes were so salty they were almost inedible.
One other gripe: Applebee's staff hyped the Happy Hour domestic $2 draft beer specials, but neglected to tell the Gang that the Sam Adams Seasonal and Blue Moon we ordered weren't part of it. (They cost $4.99 each.)
