St. Joseph's University gets $1 million grant

St. Joseph's University has received a $1 million grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to improve its science programs.

The grant will foster interdisciplinary efforts among the biology and physics departments, undergraduate student research, faculty, curriculum and laboratory development, and outreach programs, the university said. New courses in biophysics and biomechanics will be developed, among other changes.
