Sometimes all you can say is 'Oh, slush'

I should have known when I saw an animated GIF of the Fox29 reporter and the snowplow that Dan McQuade was behind the digital beauty. Lately Dan's been perfecting a form of short, silent art: looped money shots from our little daily dramas.

I should have known when I saw an animated GIF of the Fox29 reporter and the snowplow that Dan McQuade was behind the digital beauty. Lately Dan's been perfecting a form of short, silent art: looped money shots from our little daily dramas.

Reporter Steve Keeley points toward something in the distance, while a plow approaches from behind and rolls a towering wave of slush over his head. No one gets hurt. It's beautiful.

But it's not as beautiful as Monday's full report, which Fox29 posted on its Facebook page.

He'd been sent to Route 40 in Salem County, N.J., to report on the storm - and this was the 15th time this winter that he'd covered the weather. I'd want to throw myself in front of a truck, too.

There wasn't much to talk about at 6:30 a.m. No people. Just snow and ice and wind. Keeley was pining for spring and noting how just one Phillies player was a local - Hildreth Flitcraft from 1942 - when the truck bore down.

It's a scream from the studio you heard next. Keeley just kept on talking. Later he made light of the mishap:

@KeeleyFox29: I knew I was in for bad day when saw email from fired Gov. Christie staffer "Time for some plow troubles for Steve Keeley."
