76ers' ownership timeline

1946: Danny Biasone founded the Syracuse Nationals as part of the NBL. After three seasons in the NBL they joined the NBA in 1949.

May 1963: Ike Richman and Irv Kosloff purchased the Nationals from Danny Biason. They then moved the team to Philadelphia and changed the name to the 76ers.

May 1976: Fitz Dixon purchased the 76ers from Irv Kosloff.

July 1981: Dixon sold the team to Harold Katz for $12 million.

April 1996: Comcast-Spectator purchased the 76ers from Harold Katz for $130 million.
