Sixers owner Harris to run Philly Marathon

NEW SIXERS owner Josh Harris will run the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday. "I am truly looking forward to running the Philadelphia Marathon and have been for quite some time," Harris said. "To join the participants - particularly those from the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas - as a representative of the Sixers is something that I'm proud to do."

NEW SIXERS owner Josh Harris will run the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday.

"I am truly looking forward to running the Philadelphia Marathon and have been for quite some time," Harris said. "To join the participants - particularly those from the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas - as a representative of the Sixers is something that I'm proud to do."

Harris ran the New York Marathon in 3 hours, 53 minutes, 41 seconds.

Sixers strength and conditioning coach Jesse Wright also is planning to run.

The Sixers also will be giving away a voucher for one free ticket to a home game during the 2011-12 or 2012-13 season to each of the more than 27,000 participants in the three events taking place (the 8K, half-marathon and full marathon).
