Azzi Fudd’s outfit change, a monochromatic theme, and more from the best looks at the 2026 WNBA draft
Fudd, who was drafted No. 1 overall to the Dallas Wings, arrived in a silver sequin gown and switched to another before hearing her name called. Here were some of the other top looks of the night.

The WNBA draft attendees didn’t have to wait for a team to call their name to have a moment to shine. They turned heads before the draft with their looks on the Orange Carpet.
The draftees arrived at The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York City for the 2026 WNBA draft. Here are some of the best looks from the night.
Azzi Fudd, Connecticut
The draft’s first overall pick is naturally atop this list. UConn’s Azzi Fudd arrived in a silver sequin gown with black detailing at the top and a black drape along the dress’ slit. She completed the look with a matching purse and black heels.
Fudd then switched into another sparkly gown, with champagne, orange, and pink sequins detailing to form a pattern on the dress before she was selected by the Dallas Wings.
Flau’jae Johnson, LSU
Flau’jae Johnson is proof you can have it all. Along with getting selected No. 8 overall by the Golden State Valkyries and later sent to the Seattle Storm in a trade, Johnson’s music was also promoted during the draft. And on top of that, she had one of the best looks of the night with a high neck black gown with cut-outs near her midriff. Johnson paired her dress with a black fur shawl, a sparkling black clutch, and silver earrings.
Madina Okot, South Carolina
Madina Okot paired patterns and color with a pinstriped red tailored suit. With a white blouse underneath, Okot continued playing with patterns, adding a matching striped tie to complete the look. She finished the outfit off with black heels and a matching black purse. She was drafted by the Atlanta Dream with the 13th overall pick.
Ta’Niya Latson, South Carolina
The Gamecocks must be teaching classes in style, because Okot’s teammate Ta’Niya Latson also showed up ready to turn heads in a classically glamorous black sequin gown. Latson completed the monochromatic moment with black sheer gloves, a black clutch, and a black heels. She added a silver necklace and silver dangly earrings to complete the look. Latson was later drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks 20th overall.
Olivia Miles, TCU
Monochromatic seemed to be the theme of the night, but Olivia Miles put her own style on it, rocking a black bomber jacket, black trousers, and white blouse with a black tie. She completed the look with black shoes.
But the real star of her outfit was the jacket she wore when drafted by the Minnesota Lynx second overall, which had her families’ names and the date of the draft embroidered in red on the inside, close to her heart.
Raven Johnson, South Carolina
Raven Johnson wore a short blazer-styled dress that combined all the aspects of fun fashion. Mixing patterns and colors, Johnson’s dress had grey and white striped sleeves that led into a black patterned fabric for most of the base of the dress that ultimately gave way to a grey plaid trim in the middle. She balanced the look by keeping her accessories simple a black clutch and heels and diamond statement jewelry.
Johnson was later selected 10th overall by the Indiana Fever.
Kiki Rice, UCLA
Kiki Rice, a national champion, the Toronto Tempo’s first ever draft pick, and one of the best dressed ladies of the night, does it all.
Rice wore a black two piece set that incorporated patches of leather into the skirt, pairing it with a leather jacket worn off the shoulder. With black heels and a black purse, Rice completed the look with a two-tiered layered necklace.
