Temple hoops transfer Cam Scott charged with open container in motor vehicle
Temple wrote in a statement to The Inquirer that the school “is aware of the matter and is in the process of gathering additional information.”

Cam Scott, a guard from South Carolina who recently transferred to Temple, was arrested and charged on Monday with having an open container of beer or wine in a motor vehicle, according to police.
The arrest occurred Sunday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and he posted bond on Monday. The next scheduled court appearance is July 28 in Myrtle Beach.

Scott transferred to Temple from South Carolina, where he spent two seasons. A native of Lexington, S.C., Scott redshirted last season. As a freshman in the 2024-25 season, he appeared in 26 games, averaging 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds.
In high school, the 6-foot-6 Scott was a two-time South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year and was considered a four-star prospect. He averaged 22.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.5 assists during his senior year.
