One of the top scorers in the Ivy League will finish his college career at Villanova.

The Wildcats are signing 6-foot-4 Cornell shooting guard Jake Fiegen, he announced on social media.

Fiegen visited Villanova this week and reportedly considered Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Virginia before agreeing to a deal with the Wildcats.

Fiegen, an Illinois native, tied for second in the Ivy League with 17.1 points per game in 2025-26 and was sixth in the Ivy with a three-point percentage of 41.4% (on 5.5 attempts per game). He averaged 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 26.1 minutes across 24 games (17 starts) in his third year at Cornell.

Fiegen’s addition gives Villanova a much-needed boost in the shooting department. It’s unclear where he fits into the rotation at the moment. The Wildcats only have three guards on the current roster: Fiegen, Tyler Perkins, and incoming freshman Adam Oumiddoch. All of them are either combo or shooting guards.

Villanova hosted Arkansas point guard (and Camden graduate) DJ Wagner earlier this week before he agreed to a deal with Maryland. The Wildcats reportedly are slated to host St. Mary’s combo guard Mikey Lewis on a visit. They already added two forwards in the portal on Monday, Oregon’s Kwame Evans Jr. and Ohio State’s Devin Royal.

Kevin Willard’s team lost another two players to the portal this week in backup point guard Chris Jeffrey, whose departure created even more of a need at guard, and Malachi Palmer, whose playing time at forward seemingly was blocked by recent additions. Villanova also doesn’t have a true center on the roster.

Fiegen is the third portal addition of the offseason, and more are on the way as Willard and his staff continue to fill out the rotation.
