A 16-year-old boy was shot in North Philadelphia

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg Friday afternoon in North Philadelphia, police said.
The shooting happened just after 4:15 p.m. on the 1300 block of Lehigh Avenue near the intersection with North Broad Street, police said.
The boy, who was initially reported by police to be 14 years old, was transported by private vehicle to Temple University Hospital. He was listed in stable condition.
Police reported no arrests.
