Police were investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains Tuesday evening near the Franklin Mall in Northeast Philadelphia.
Around 7 p.m., police responded to a wooded area near the 12000 block of Knights Road where the skeletal remains of an adult were found.
Police said the gender and race of the deceased person were not immediately identifiable.
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office was working to identify the person and the cause and manner of death, police said.
