Man fatally shot inside store in University City
Police responded to the 4000 block of Market Street and found the victim with two gunshot wounds.

A 26-year-old man was fatally shot inside a neighborhood store late Monday afternoon in University City, police said.
Shortly after 4:40 p.m., police responded to the 4000 block of Market Street and found the victim with two gunshot wounds, said Capt. Timothy Stephan.
The man was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:13 p.m.
The man was seen on security video inside the store with two other people when the shooter entered and appeared to talk briefly with the victim, Stephan said.
“Seems like they knew each other,” Stephan said.
The shooter shot the victim in the upper leg, causing him to fall, then shot him a second time in the torso, Stephan said.
The shooter then fled the scene on a sit-down electric scooter, Stephan said.
