Niki Mailata and Brooke Dickerson talk game day style while showing off Target’s new Eagles gear
Niki Mailata and Brooke Dickerson surprised shoppers in South Philadelphia to promote Target's new line of Eagles merch: “It really just adds a sense of self creativity and reflection.”

Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata hid in one of the aisles at the Target, located on Mifflin Street in South Philadelphia, before he was eventually spotted by eager Eagles fans. The 6-foot-8, 365 pound veteran was there to support his wife Niki Mailata and Brooke Dickerson as they met with shoppers and showed off some of Target’s latest Eagles merch.
“I just love fostering the community,” Niki said. “Philly has a great one, they bleed green. They show out, they show up. So, I just love being able to see them do so with some cute and comfy pieces.”
Dickerson, the wife of Eagles guard Landon Dickerson, and Niki Mailata were showcasing Target’s expanded Fan Central section, featuring a larger selection of officially licensed Eagles jerseys, varsity cardigans, mesh jerseys, crewnecks, hats, and rugby polos — which happens to be a favorite for Mailata with her husband’s rugby roots.
“That one for me is a really good nostalgic piece,” Mailata said.
The sports world has become a focal point in fashion. Within the NBA and WNBA, fashion has always been part of the league’s identity. The same can be said when it comes to football, with athletes giving fans iconic on the field and off the field looks, including Odell Beckham Jr.’s colored hair and custom cleats and Cam Newton’s trademark hats and bold prints.
Players continue to turn heads with their game day fits — whether it’s Joe Burrow’s fur coat, DeVonta Smith’s double-breasted suits, or Jalen Hurts’ monochromatic looks and berets. But they’re not the only ones turning the gridiron into their runway. The wives and girlfriends of players have been dishing out their own gameday fits.
“I think [game day fashion] is really important,” Mailata said. “It really just adds a sense of self creativity and reflection. Also, Philly just always comes out to play and they come out in their best. So, it’s so cool to see the community come out in that way.”
Dickerson, who posts her game day outfits on Instagram, stresses how important it is to make each piece unique.
“I’ve been tying up my shirts in the back with a hair tie,” Dickerson said. “To give it that more snatched look. And when you’re wearing a [long sleeve crew neck], you can kind of scrunch up the sleeves and put on some bangles. Those are just some of the things that I do. But I feel like just trying different things and being different is important.”
Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, is known for her clothing brand Off Season — adding a new twist on NFL fan gear with her iconic reworked vintage style. The wives and girlfriends are bringing a new meaning to game day fashion, and on Sunday, Mailata and Dickerson were helping fans achieve their own personal look alongside an on-site stylists who offered tips for creating game day outfits.
“We both love dressing up for games,” Dickerson said. “And we love seeing what everyone else is wearing at the games. I think it’s fun to play off of everyone’s fashion.”
Eleven-year-old influencer Elena Flores, known as elenarose_philly on social media, attended Sunday’s Target event bringing her own sense of style, wearing leopard print pants and an Eagles crewneck sweater.
“Today, I wanted to be here to see their new merch,” Flores said. “And I was so excited to see Brooke and Niki. [Brooke] is really pretty and I love her style and — she’s just really pretty.”
During the event, she collaborated with Dickerson for a social media video. Later on, she filmed another video with Jordan Mailata.
Flores ended up grabbing some merch for future game days. Dickerson offered some advice for fans when it comes to game day fashion, revealing her favorite staples.
“I would say thermal leggings, gloves, and thermal socks just because it’s so cold in Philadelphia,” Dickerson said. “That’s what you have to wear when it’s cold outside. But I think in general, just a really cute jacket that you can throw over anything. That’s just a staple for any game.”
