Fresh off a win over the Giants, the Eagles made some practice squad moves on Monday.
The team announced Monday that they signed defensive back Tariq Castro-Fields to the practice squad and placed wide receiver John Ross to the Practice Squad Injured List.

Philly Dawgs come up big in Eagles' win over Giants
For Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and the rest of the former Georgia stars now filling roles within the Eagles’ defense, there were two games worth mentioning in the visitor’s locker room.
The No. 5 Bulldogs’ 30-15 victory over the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns on Saturday, and the one they were instrumental in delivering for the Eagles themselves one day later.
“Them Dawgs, man,” Davis said. “Them Dawgs is hell.”

Eagles get flexed out of 'Sunday Night Football'
For the second week in a row, the Eagles are getting demoted.
On Monday, the NFL moved Eagles Week 9 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) at the Linc out of primetime to a 4:05 p.m. kickoff on CBS on Nov. 3.
In its place, the league is flexing in Minnesota Vikings (5-1) vs. the Indianapolis Colts (4-3).

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy doesn’t agree with Troy Aikman's blunt criticism
Last week, ESPN Monday Night Football analyst and former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman didn’t mince words about Dallas’ wide receivers.
“I think the routes are terrible,” Aikman said on Dallas sports talk radio Thursday, according to The Athletic. “I think they run terrible routes… I see guys lazy coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they run, usually if they do, it’s because they’re anticipating they’re going to get the football on that play, but if they’re not, they don’t. And it all ties together. I’m not impressed with that part of it.”
Speaking to reporters Monday, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Aikman’s words didn’t “carry any weight” with him and criticized the Hall of Famer’s choice of words.

Saquon Barkley hit a new top speed Sunday
Think Saquon Barkley wasn’t revved up for Sunday's game against Giants? He’s never ran faster in his career, according to Next Gen Stats.
Barkley reached a top speed of 21.93 mph during his 55-yard run in the second quarter. Not only was that Barkley’s fastest recorded speed, it was also the second-fastest speed reached by a ballcarrier this season.
Saquon Barkley reached a top speed of 21.93 MPH on his 55-yard run, the 2nd-fastest speed by a ball carrier this season.
That run was a big one for the Eagles, whose offense didn’t score in the first quarter and whose running game to that point had just 20 yards on eight carries. Barkley accumulated 134 of his 176 yards on three big runs.

Saquon Barkley torched the Giants after seeing his jersey in flames
Saquon Barkley sat on the Eagles’ bus as it entered the parking lot for his first trip as an opposing player to MetLife Stadium. He had his headphones on and was doing his best to drown out the noise — literal and figurative — before facing the New York Giants.
But the running back couldn’t block out what he saw as the shuttle drove past lot D-10 amid a sea of gray red and dark blue: replicas of his No. 26 Giants jersey hanging from a fence engulfed in flames.
“That was crazy,” Barkley said. “I’ve seen my jersey get burned before on social media, but the timing of it. I’m locked in, I’m listening to my music, and all I see is fans just pointing, and I look and I’m like, ‘What are they pointing at?’ I see smoke and I’m just like, ‘Where’s my jersey at?’

Eagles could still be flexed out of 'Sunday Night Football'
The Eagles will take on the Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) on Sunday, a game that looked much better on paper heading into the season than in reality.
The Eagles-Bengals game was initially scheduled to take place at 4:25 p.m. on CBS in their big national window, but the NFL demoted it last week. Instead, the NFL moved matchup between the high-flying Washington Commanders (5-2) and surprising Chicago Bears (4-2).
It might not be the last time the Eagles are moved to an earlier time this season. The Birds are scheduled to face the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5) and former coach Doug Pederson in Week 9 on NBC’s Sunday Night Football on Nov. 3.

Commanders star Jayden Daniels to undergo tests Monday following rib injury
Jayden Daniels will undergo further tests Monday after leaving the Washington Commanders’ game against the Carolina Panthers with a rib injury, coach Dan Quinn said, repeatedly adding he had no further update on the rookie quarterback’s status.
“I can not give you an update on Jayden, but I will just as soon as we find out,” Quinn said Sunday after Daniels was injured early in his team’s 40-7 win. “I’ll give you some updates just as soon as I find out tomorrow, but I do not have any tonight.”
Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, posted on social media the simple message, “He’s fine.” Part owner Magic Johnson posted he’s “praying that Jayden Daniels’ injury is not serious!”

NFC East standings: Eagles gain ground
Thanks to the Cowboys' bye week, the Eagles moved up to second place in the NFC East thanks to their drubbing of the New York Giants Sunday.
The Washington Commanders remain in first place after their 40-7 blowout victory against the Carolina Panthers. Former Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota led the Commanders after rookie star Jayden Daniels left the game early with a rib injury.
In Week 8, the Commanders will face the Chicago Bears, while the Cowboys will travel to San Francisco to play the 49ers on NBC's Sunday Night Football. The Giants will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on ESPN's Monday Night Football.
