Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia returns this August for its 14th annual soiree
The all-white picnic is back this summer with some patriotic flair.

Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia organizers announced the event’s return for Thursday, August 20.
They didn’t reveal the location of the secret, pop-up picnic, which requires guests to dress in all-white attire (not off-white, beige, or ivory).
This year, the theme pays homage to the nation’s 250th Anniversary. Guests can expect Americana flair throughout the event.
“It’s a very special year for our nation and Philadelphia, in particular, so we’re excited to be one of the many great celebrations taking place in the City this summer,” said Natanya DiBona, co-host of Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia, in a press release.
Founded in Paris in 1988, Le Dîner en Blanc debuted in Philly in 2012 with 1,300 guests dining in all white in Logan Circle. Now, Philadelphia is now home to the country’s largest Le Dîner en Blanc, which pops up at over 120 cities in 40 countries.
In 2017, the 5,300-people attendance set a record that was quickly overtaken by the 6,000 guests who showed up in 2019. Last year’s Gatsby-themed celebration at Girard College brought in around 5,000 attendees, carrying picnic tables and baskets full of tablecloths and dinnerware to the lawns of the Fairmount boarding school.
Every year, the event is held outdoors, rain or shine. Attendees carry their own picnic paraphernalia to the venue, including tables, linens, flatware, and, of course, food and drink.
Ticket sales for Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia will begin in early July. According to last year’s sale, tickets are sold in pairs and cost $56 per person. To purchase, join the Fan List and secure your spot when tickets go live.
