Josie Kelly’s Public House

Gastropub$

This 260-seat bi-level Irish pub powerhouse pours its Guinness skillfully and serves up shepherd’s pie, creamy seafood chowder, and fresh baked brown bread with no-shortcuts finesse and quality. “Dairy richness is ever-present here, especially with crowd favorites like the Dublin Lawyer, a seafood risotto in Irish whiskey cream sauce,” says Critic Craig LaBan “So is crunchy pastry. A tawny pie crust seals the crock of beef stew, soulful with a rich stout gravy. The sausage rolls aren’t much to look at, but they are delicious, with fresh ground sausage and sage-scented apples rolled inside flaky puff-pastry tubes.”
