Tropical drinks, panini, blintzes, and more: All the restaurants opening in June 2026

A throwback Korean bar in Center City, a Jewish eatery, and Viet-Cajun food are among the new restaurants on the way to Philadelphia.

June’s restaurant openings have a summer feel: music, pubs, beachy drinks, and surfboards. And there will be blintzes.

Here’s first word of Hearsay (1222 Walnut St.), an indoor/outdoor sidewalk bar and listening lounge featuring high-fidelity sound, an ’80s/’90s vibe, a fresh juice-driven cocktail program, and a Korean-inspired bar menu. Due in late June, it’s part of an ambitious assemblage by nightlife veteran Justin Jordan, who has opened Celine on the building’s third floor and plans to open HYO, a Korean tabletop barbecue restaurant behind Hearsay, later this summer. (Access to HYO will be through a phone booth.) Further, the second floor will open this fall as the Chancellor Room, an event space and karaoke lounge.

Philly Surf Club (699 N. Broad St.): June 11 is the debut of this seasonal cocktail pop-up by Nico Diaz, former head bartender at the Ranstead Room, in partnership with Underground Concepts and chef Natalie Maronski at the Annex, in the Divine Lorraine at North Broad Street and Ridge Avenue. They promise technique-driven tropical cocktails paired with small bites from Maronski’s kitchen.

Schmaltz (1300 S. 18th St.): Expect a soft opening midmonth, with service through the takeout window at first, from this Jewish-inspired eatery in Point Breeze from Jeremy Asch and Abby Armstrong. Menu will include a latke, egg, and cheese sandwich on an English muffin; spicy pickle-brined crispy tofu sandwich with arugula and fennel; cheese blintzes with jam and sour cream; and Caesar salad with gribenes (aka chicken cracklings).

Luna at the Luxe (1705 N. American St.): Sarah Varisano is putting the finishing touches on Luna Cafe’s reopening in new quarters at the nearby Luxe in Old Kensington. Luna’s familiar identity — full-service brunch, breakfast, coffee-to-go — will remain, while its bar and beverage program will expand, evening hours will be added, and a courtyard will supplement seating.

Bar Cicci (1620 Sansom St.): Late June is now the target for Ellen Yin’s salon serving espresso, Panini, pastries, cicchetti, wine, and aperitive.

Biederman’s Rittenhouse (276 S. 20th St.): Lauren Biederman plans a soft opening, at least, this Friday and Saturday for her “appetizing” shop at 20th and Spruce Streets, the former Audrey Clare.

The Blue Warbler Corner & Garden (8001 Germantown Ave.): Fred Mogul is edging ever closer to opening his “unfussy” all-day Chestnut Hill bakery-cafe-tavern serving “edgy, eclectic comfort food” accompanied by coffee, cocktails, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks.

Carolyn’s Modern Vietnamese (2015 Walnut St.): Carolyn Nguyen says “late June” for her revamp of Rittenhouse’s Revolution Taco, where she was a partner, into a personal, Viet-Cajun hybrid.

Claude’s Comedy Club & Bar (1123 S. Broad St.): Reid Benditt, publisher of the humor zine Philly Jabroni, is saying sometime in June for his South Philly comedy club. He’s started bookings for July.

Known Associates (941 Spruce St.): Chef Christopher Kearse of the Michelin-recommended Forsythia and designers PS & Daughters say “late June” for their cocktail bar at the former Varga Bar in Washington Square West.

Manna Bakery (110 W. Berks St.): End of June is the goal for Saif Manna’s Levantine and Palestinian bakery on the former site of Essen Bakery in Norris Square.

The Monto (226 Market St.): “Any day now,” said Fergus “Fergie” Carey, who with partner Jim McNamara is waiting for a green light from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. This Old City Irish pub, named for a Dublin folk song, pairs a classic Celtic bar feel with a kitchen led by sandwich specialist N.A. Poe, blending cheesesteaks and cutlets with Irish pub dishes.

Philly Po Boy Co. (102 W. Berks St.): Brothers Chris and Greg Lynch are hoping for a late-month opening of their taste of New Orleans under the Berks Street stop of the L.

Riptide Tavern (4388 Main St.): Aiming for a late-June rollout, Taqueria Amor owner Tim Spinner is heading next door for what he calls a shore-inspired Manayunk neighborhood spot, outfitted with old surfboards, beer mirrors, jukebox, and other memorabilia he has collected over the years. The menu will be short and flexible, with items such as a prime rib French dip, gambas al ajillo, fried zucchini, and crab dip, alongside cocktails, crushes, and budget-friendly beers. House rule: no cell phone use.

Taste Taco Bar (300 South St.): Kevin Dulce is looking at mid-June for the debut of his indoor-outdoor taco bar, which previewed on Cinco de Mayo.

333 Belrose Bar & Grill (333 Belrose Lane, Radnor): June 9 is the soft reopening of this Main Line landmark after a seven-month renovation that will flip the dining room and bar. Reservations will go live midmonth.
