Montgomery County man charged with illegal sex with underage teen, recording video
Joshua Warner, 24, allegedly met the 14-year-old girl online and they communicated through the social media platform Discord.
A 24-year-old Montgomery County man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and recording the acts on video, Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry said Friday.
Joshua Warner, of Elkins Park, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, statutory sexual assault, manufacturing child pornography, and related offenses, Henry said in a news release. He was being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Warner allegedly met the teen online and they communicated through the social media platform Discord. Henry said Warner arranged a meeting with the girl and engaged in unlawful sex acts with her, and recorded video that he saved on his phone.
“These charges show the opportunities social media presents to predators who hide online under the cover of anonymity,” Henry said in a statement. “As if the sexual assault of a child is not horrific enough, this defendant chose to film the crimes. My office will continue to find and prosecute those who prey upon children.”
