The township’s population has continued to grow, once again outpacing Camden. Here’s a look at the numbers. Also this week, a memory care operator is looking to build a 32-bed facility, early voting for the primary gets underway, plus, the Al Fresco Affair Food Truck Festival returns tomorrow.

Cherry Hill’s population is knocking on the door of 80,000 residents, according to the latest U.S. Census Bureau estimates, which found the township is home to 79,965 people.

The 2025 data also shows that for the 10th consecutive year, Cherry Hill’s population outpaced Camden’s, making it the most populated spot in the county. It’s also the second-most populous suburban municipality in the metro area, behind only Upper Darby Township in Delaware County.

Between 2024 and 2025, Cherry Hill added about 1,022 residents, part of a yearslong trend of increasing growth, The Inquirer’s Denali Sagner reports.

  2. Airbnb has enacted its anti-partying policy ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Though not on the platform, short-term rental spots like Muhammad Ali’s Cherry Hill mansion, which is also on the market (yours for a cool $1.65 million after a recent price reduction), were known rental party hot spots in the past.

  3. A new memory care facility could be coming to the vacant lot at 158 E. Evesham Rd. Rady Enterprise, LLC is seeking a variance from the township’s zoning board to develop two 7,000-square-foot single-story buildings. If approved, Sun Meadow Memory Care plans to offer 32 beds across the facilities.

  4. Tuesday is the last day to request a mail-in ballot for the upcoming primary. It’s also the first day of in-person early voting, which runs through May 31. Residents can cast their early ballot at the Carmen Tilelli Community Center weekdays and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  5. Heads up for drivers: Roadwork continues on Cooper Landing and Kresson Roads this week. Cooper Landing Road will be closed between Georgia Avenue and Route 70 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday. And Kresson Road will have a partial closure westbound between Springdale and Cropwell Roads from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a full closure between Marlkress Road and Browning Lane from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday.

  1. Reminder for families: Friday is an in-service day and the district is closed Monday for Memorial Day. Tomorrow, Joyce Kilmer Elementary is hosting its 20th Alex’s Lemonade Stand from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s a board of education meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. See the district’s full calendar here.

  2. Registration is now open for the district’s summer enrichment program, which will have two sessions in July geared toward students entering sixth through 10th grades.

  1. Cherry Hill has two of the best pizzas in the region, according to South Jersey Magazine. The outlet gave nods to Bricco Coal Fired Pizza’s Stinger pie — made with buffalo mozzarella, tomato, spicy soppressata and drizzled with honey — and the cheekily named Vodka, Hold the Tonic at Back Door Pizza. The Inquirer’s Hira Qureshi declared both shops among the standout pizza joints in South Jersey last year.
