Embiid up to playing 28 minutes per game

Joel Embiid's minutes have increased to 28 minutes starting with Wednesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings at the Wells Fargo Center.

The 76ers center had been restricted to playing 24 minutes this season.

"Everybody would see the impact that Joel has when he is on the floor," Sixers coach Brett Brown said. "The four minutes by all indications will give us a better chance of winning."

Brown said the change was made after recent assessments with the team doctors.  This week's evaluationand CT scan showed that everything is good with Embiid's right foot.

The third overall pick of the 2014 draft has missed the past two seasons after having surgeries to repair the navicular in his right foot.  As result, the Sixers are bringing him along slowly.
