Opa duo plans to open a restaurant on 8th Street

An orange liquor placard suggests a deal is in the works.

George and Vasiliki Tsiouris - owners of Opa and Drury Beer Garden - apparently have a deal pending to take over Coco's, the long-running Jeweler's Row bar at 112 S. Eighth St., if an orange liquor placard is accurate.

George Tsiouris declined to address his plans.

Here's a great backgrounder on Coco's, which has been a fixture in its neighborhood for three decades.

No comment from Coco's ownership.

Coco's is very much still open.
