Monday, July 31 is the scheduled soft-opening of D'Jakarta Cafe, a family-run Indonesian BYOB on the corner of 16th and Ritner Streets in South Philadelphia.
It's the rebuilt former home of another Indonesian restaurant, Sky Cafe, which relocated to 1122-38 Washington Ave. after an October 2015 fire that started in the apartments above.
Beddy Sonie and wife Alfitri Ho have the cooking services of her mother, a home cook.
Among her specialties will be noodle dishes, meatballs, and curry dishes in a refined atmosphere filled with photos and knickknacks from Indonesia's capital.
Normal operation will be lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday.
