Early look at Barcelona, a Spanish wine bar, on East Passyunk
It's a Spanish small-plater featuring a 400-bottle wine list and lots of reclaimed wood.
Barcelona, a wine bar/restaurant out of Connecticut, is in the soft-opening phase at 1709 E. Passyunk Ave., the South Philly corner of 12th, Morris, and East Passyunk, where A Man's Image used to be.
It's a Spanish small-plater featuring a 400-bottle wine list and lots of reclaimed wood. There's a sizable, landscaped outdoor patio.
Most dish prices are $10 and under.
Hours for now are irregular – evening only. Last night, the 190-seater was packed, mostly with locals.
I'll have more on this later. Here are a few photos.
