Lou Bird's returns after a kitchen 'reboot'
Closed over the weekend, the restaurant will return with new chefs.
Lou Bird's, the bistro at 20th and Lombard Streets, closed abruptly Saturday, Nov. 4, leaving a note on the door explaining that management wished to "make some improvements behind the scenes."
Though owner Norris Jordan didn't wish to divulge specifics, he let on that a "reboot" was in order in the kitchen.
When Lou Bird's reopens Wednesday, Nov. 8, a new/old crew will be at the stove — former sous chef Ryan Patrick and assistant Brad Goldberg, who have returned.
Norris and his wife, Debbie, also own the Happy Rooster at 16th and Sansom Streets.
