Lucky Well BBQ pop-up to benefit rail park
Sunday's event will be held at the site of the former PHS Pop Up Garden at the Viaduct Rail Park.
Chad Rosenthal will bring a branch of his Ambler barbecue restaurant, The Lucky Well, to the Spring Arts building at 10th and Spring Garden Streets in the middle of 2018.
But first, the Next Food Network Star alum will do a pop-up on Sunday, Nov. 19 at the site of the former PHS Pop Up Garden at the Viaduct Rail Park, around the corner at 10th and Hamilton Streets.
Food and live blues will run from noon to dark, or till sell-out.
Roy-Pitz, the brewpub in the Spring Arts building (990 Spring Garden St.), will sell its house craft beer, its Barrel House sour beer, whiskey cocktails from Bluebird Distilling, and gin cocktails from The Revivalist.
Rosenthal says he's giving 25 percent of his take to the Friends of the Rail Park, the group that is building a three-mile-long park along the old Philadelphia and Reading Railroad tracks.
Rosenthal's St. Louis ribs rank among my favorites in the area. He encourages preorders of the ribs here; he'll then know how much food to cook and you get a $3 discount.
