Square-jawed country singer Sam Hunt will lead off the Atlantic City beach concert series this summer.
Hunt, a Georgia native and former college football quarterback who broke out big by blending hip-hop and R&B into his Nashville sound more skillfully than most on his 2014 debut Montevallo, is playing AC on July 1.
The "Body Like a Back Road" singer sold out the BB&T Pavilion in Camden last summer, and he's headlining his own Nashville Music Festival in Music City in April, as well as touring touring stadiums this summer with Luke Bryan. Kane Brown and Conner Smith open up for him on the beach.
Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. this Friday March 2. Hunt is not to be confused with the North Carolina State basketball player of the same name who was trending on Twitter this weekend. Additional ticket info is at ACBeachConcerts.com. No word yet on how many concerts in total will be included in the beach series this summer, which is in its fifth year, and included a headlining date by Philly-bred popstar Pink in 2017.
