Two would-be burglars were apprehended at a Target store in Northeast Philadelphia early this morning after police caught them hiding in the business' ventilation system.

Police said the two were located lying on top of each other in a small ventilation duct at the store located at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd.

The pair, who were not immediately identified, were loaded into a police van shortly after 5 a.m., hours after officers had been called to the Target for a reported burglary.

Police responded to the Target shortly before 1:30 a.m. The two apparently sawed into a back door at the store.

Officers, including K-9 units, conducted an intensive search at the business before locating the pair.

Detectives were investigating whether the two were linked to any other recent burglaries at Pennsylvania Target stores, saying this would be the seventh such incident in the past month.
