2 men shot dead overnight in separate Philly attacks

Two people were shot dead overnight Saturday in separate incidents in Philadelphia, according to police. At 10:22 p.m., officers in Franklinville found a 24-year-old man on the 3500 block of N. Marshall Street with a gunshot wound to his chest and a graze wound to the left side of his head, police said.

At 10:22 p.m., officers in Franklinville found a 24-year-old man on the 3500 block of N. Marshall Street with a gunshot wound to his chest and a graze wound to the left side of his head, police said.

The man, whom police did not identify, was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m., police said.

No arrests were made, but police said they were searching for a 20-year-old black man wearing a blue shirt with a white design. He was last seen on the 600 block of Venango Street, police said.

In the second homicide, on Sunday morning, officers found an unidentified man with four gunshot wounds to the chest on the 1800 block of E. Thayer Street, in Harrowgate. The man, whom police said was bald with a light beard, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:04 a.m.

No arrests were made, police said.
