The 3-month-old baby remains at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children with head trauma but is expected to survive.
Bensalem police began investigating the case Oct. 12, after Aria Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia reported they suspected abuse when the family brought the baby there with serious head injuries.
Kyle Hinkle, 25, of Virginia Avenue near Marion, was charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and related offenses. Judge Leonard Brown arraigned him and jailed him on $50,000 bail.
